Culture shock
By CheapReveal | June 10, 2007
Usually when Americans travel abroad the first thing they talk about when mentioning their recent trip to others is the differences in social norms, customs, ways of life etc. A normal conversation might be something like “Did you know their biggest meal of the day is eaten for lunch instead of dinner?” or “You wouldn’t believe it, EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday” or (although less likely) “Instead of petting their dogs, they pet their fish!”.
